2010-02-01

From 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, February 4th, we will be selling hats and hoodies at the Columbia Ice Rink. All profits from this sale will be donated to the National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians (NOAH). We'll have a large selection of new hoodie and hat styles.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to invite you to a special event this week.

From 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, February 5th, we will be selling hats and hoodies at the Columbia Ice Rink. All profits from this sale will be donated to the National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians (NOAH). NOAH is a U.S. based 501 (c) 3 charity dedicated to providing medical and humanitarian relief to Haitians from Natural Disasters. In the wake of the recent earthquake, they have mobilized and sequenced a team from the U.S. of over 300 medical and engineering Haitian-Americans who speak Creole, understand local dialects and customs – vital to providing effective diagnosis and treatment. On a daily basis, NOAH members deliver 45,000 meals, medical supplies and provide medical care through its volunteer team of 70 doctors/nurses and over 100 additional personnel to other humanitarian organizations, faith-based groups, woman, child-focused, and youth organizations. Water pumps have been established at two tent cities.

NOAH continues to provide medical and mental health services through its medical missions, distribute essential medicines and food, and contribute to rebuilding by demonstrating the use of hurricane-resilient structures, self-sustaining green-energy systems and water purification systems throughout Haiti.

We  hope to have a representative of NOAH on-site to answer any questions you may have about their organization and to tell you personally of the work their organization is doing in Haiti right now.

We’ll have a nice selection of sizes in new hoodie styles. We will also have a large selection of knit hats and beanies, as well as a new shipment of those cool flex fit hats for men and pink hats for the ladies. My personal favorite is the new knit ear flap hats in the traditional nordic style.

I hope you’ll join me in this opportunity to come together as a club and make a contribution toward rebuilding the devastation that has rocked Haiti. If you unable to attend the sale, but, would like to make a contribution, your check, made payable to NOAH, may be mailed to me at 5396 Iron Pen Place, Columbia, MD 21044. More information is available at www.noahhaiti.org.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.
